Starting From Civic Center Station @ Market
Take Muni line 19 at the corner of Market and Brenham Place. The bus will turn onto Polk at Geary and take you all the way to the North end of Polk Street near Ghiradelli Square.

Starting From East Bay
By public transporation: Take the BART San Francisco bound train and get off at Embarcadero Station. You can transfer to the Muni 1 line and get off on Sacramento at Polk or take the California cable car and get off on California at Polk.
By car: Take the I-80 W towards San Francisco and cross the Bay Bridge ($2 toll). Take the first San Francisco exit at Fremont Street. Turn left onto Fremont St. and stay in the second lane from the left. Cross market and turn left on Pine. Follow Pine to Polk.

Starting From Embarcadero Station area
Take the California cable car to Polk.

Starting From Financial District
Catch Muni line 1 on Sacramento. The bus will stop on Sacramento at Polk. Another option is to take either the 2,3 or 4 line which travels West on Sutter. Get off the bus at Polk and Sutter.

Starting From Fisherman's Wharf area
Catch Muni line 19 on Beach across from Ghiradelli Square near Polk. This is where the 19 line starts so there are usually busses waiting there. The bus will take you straight down Polk Street and will finally turn off Polk at Eddy.

Starting From Inner Richmond
Take the Muni 2 line toward downtown on Clement Street. There is a bus stop on Post at Polk. You can also take the Muni 38 line on Geary going toward downtown. There is a bus stop on O'Farrell at Polk. If you are on the 38L bus, get off at Van Ness and walk up one more block.

Starting From Laurel Heights
Take the Muni 1 line toward downtown. The buss will stop on Clay at Polk. Another option is to take either the Muni 3 or 4 lines toward downtown where you can get off the bus on Post at Polk.

Starting From Outer Richmond
Take the Muni 38 line on Geary going East toward downtown. There is a bus stop on O'Farrell at Polk. If you are on the 38L bus, get off at Van Ness and walk up one more block. You can also ride the Muni 31 line from Balboa and get off on Eddy at Polk. The Muni 5 line also goes from Fulton near Golden Gate Park and stops on McAllister at Polk.

Starting From Pacific Heights
Take the Muni 12 line toward East downtown. There is a bus stop on Pacific at Polk.

Starting From Powell Street @ Market
From the North West corner of Cyril Magnin and Market, take Muni line 27 destined for Van Ness & Jackson. Bus will stop on Jackson at Polk.

Public transportaion:
Take Caltrain Route Northbound. Get off at the San Francisco Caltrain Station.
Take Muni line 45 toward downtown and Union Street.
Get off the bus on Union at Polk.
By Car: Take the US-101 North towards San Francisco. Take the Ninth Street / Civic Center exit where the 80 and 101 split. Turn left on Ninth Street from the offramp. Stay in the either of the two right lanes and cross Market Street. Ninth will become Larkin. Turn left on McAllister and go West one block to Polk.

Take either the Muni 41 or 45 line toward downtown. The bus will stop on Union at Polk.
